Sponsorship Program
About the sponsorship program
As a sponsor, you give a child in Tanzania something that lasts: an education. Each month you cover school, supplies and a uniform, and you follow the child through their school years. In some cases we also help families facing especially difficult circumstances.
If you would rather not commit to one specific child, you can become a monthly donor. We then direct your support to where the need is greatest, for example to children without a sponsor, in case of illness, or in other difficult situations. You choose this right in the form.
Become a sponsor today and give a child the chance to finish school.

Sponsorship program FAQ - frequently asked questions
What is it that I pay for when I'm sponsoring a child or youth?
When you become a sponsor, you’ll be informed about what is included in the amount you contribute. This typically covers school fees, school supplies, and uniforms. School fees may vary from one school to another.
What happens if I can no longer continue being a sponsor?
If you need to stop, your child will not suddenly be left without schooling. We are committed to the children we have taken on, and we keep following up with them. At the same time, it is our regular sponsors who decide how many new children we can say yes to. We know that life comes in seasons, so let us know in good time if you need to stop, and we will find a solution together.
How often will I receive updates about the child I sponsor?
The number of updates you receive may vary. Some children and youth live near our project leader, Gladness, in Tanzania and/or need extra follow-up. Others study far away, which can make communication less frequent. We do our best to keep sponsors updated, but please note that this work is done in our spare time and on a voluntary basis. This also means that every cent goes directly to your sponsored child and the purpose we've communicated.
